Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Welcomes What Was Stated in Speech of US President on Washington's Commitment to Cooperate with Saudi Arabia to Defend Its Sovereignty and Counter Threats Against It

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Yaum and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has supported and enhanced the peace and stability efforts regionally and internationally since its inception until this prosperous era, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense.
For many decades, Saudi-US relations has witnessed unprecedented development at all political, economic and security levels, as their strategic cooperation has remained a basic pillar for energy security and regional and global stability, in addition to confronting threats and risks of extremism and terrorism the papers added.
In the context of these strategic relations, Saudi Arabia welcomed what was stated in the speech of US President Joe Biden regarding Washington's commitment to cooperating with Saudi Arabia to defend its sovereignty and counter the threats against it, as Riyadh affirmed its firm stance towards the current issues, including the Yemeni crisis, as well as the unilateral ceasefire announced by the coalition in response to US Secretary-General's call, the papers further added .
Saudi Arabia has reiterated its continued support for efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution based on three references, represented by the Security Council Resolution (2216), the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism and the outcomes of the Yemeni national dialogue, as it continues its pioneering humanitarian role and its remarkable efforts to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people and strengthens cooperation and coordination with the United States to deal with challenges in the region, including pushing the peace process forward in the Middle East and putting an end to conflicts in many countries, in addition to enhancing security and stability in the region and the world, the papers concluded.
