Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the unprecedented efforts, exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in combating the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, have effectively contributed to reaching reassuring stages, cohesion of the economy and resumption of the stages of cautious return at various levels. The paper said that such efforts has extended regionally and internationally to help the world overcome this crisis, which has no precedent in modern history. The paper highlighted the speech virtually delivered by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi during Aspar World Forum as he confirmed that Saudi Arabia raised the banner of wisdom and called on the world to respond in a thoughtful and coordinated manner and work to achieve a unified global response to confront Covid-19, through its presenting at the United Nations a decision entitled: "unifying efforts in confronting of global health threats and combating Covid-19 Pandemic". Al-Mouallimi stated that decision was responded by the countries of the world as they supported it without objection, the paper added. The paper concluded that decision presented by Saudi Arabia at the United Nations emphasizes basic points, topped by the intensifying of international cooperation and multilateral efforts in the field of confronting diseases outbreaks.
