U.S. stocks rose Monday, with the Standard & Poor's 500 index and technology-heavy Nasdaq hitting new record highs. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 190.85, or 0.7 percent, to 28,066.47, only 0.1 percent below its record high. The broader S&P 500 rose 23.35, or 0.75 percent, to 3,133.64. The Nasdaq composite index rose 112.60, or 1.3 percent, to 8,632.49, led by chipmakers.
