U.S. stocks rose Monday, with the Standard & Poor's 500 index hitting a new record high. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 117.47, or 0.4 percent, to 26,717.43. The broader S&P 500 rose 22.57, or 0.8 percent, to 2,964.33. The index also hit a new record intraday high. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 84.92, or 1.1 percent, to 8,091.16, posting a four-day winning streak.
