The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reiterated its firm stance towards solving the Syrian crisis, in line with the international community's efforts to resolve the crisis politically, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254. Ambassador of the Kingdom to the United Nations office in Geneva Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel said in a speech during the Human Rights Council meeting on the latest developments of the situation, in Syria that indiscriminate bombing and attacks did not respect innocent civilians and caused mass displacement of more than one million Syrian citizens, men, women and children, are humanitarian disaster and a flagrant violation of all relevant international laws and norms, stressing the importance of the return of refugees to their country, in safe and to live in dignified conditions. He added that the Brussels conference held last March renewed the position of the international community in support of a political process led by the United Nations for the future of Syria, and the establishment of a unified and secure state for all Syrian citizens. On the other hand, the Kingdom's delegation to the United Nations office, here, welcomed the Head of the International Commission of Inquiry, in Syria, Paulo Pinheiro and his team, thanking them for the information they presented during today's meeting.
