Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the continuous threats being made by the Iranian regime to close the Strait of Hormuz would cause a global energy crisis if implemented. The paper added that the matter goes beyond Iranian aggressive terrorist policies to destabilize the security and stability of the region to reach the global security. The paper noted that the matter also requires concerted and intensive efforts of the international community to prevent any disruption of energy supplies. In the same context, Okaz newspaper said in its editorial that in less than 24 hours after UN consensus on holding accountability against those involved in attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi cabinet Tuesday called on the international community to take firm actions to ensure the safety of navigation in the waterways of the region. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's demand from the international community to take firm actions reflects Riyadh's keenness to achieve stability and security in the region
