U.S. stocks plummeted Monday. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 617.37, or 2.4 percent, to 25,324.99. Twenty-nine of the index's 30 components dropped, led by Apple, which plunged 5.8 percent. Boeing and Caterpillar were 4.9 and 4.6 percent lower. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 69.53, or 2.4 percent, to 2,811.87. All sectors except utilities dropped. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 269.92, or 3.4 percent, to 7,647.02, with losses led by Apple. Netflix plunged 4.4 percent, while Amazon and Facebook each lost 3.6 percent.
