Under the Auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the National Center for Archives and Records (NCAR) organizes here today the first international Arab Archive conference themed "The Role of Arab Archives in Supporting Arab Knowledge Society between Current Challenges and Future Aspirations". According to NCAR, the conference main objectives are on discovering best practices and international experiences in the field of archiving and digital preservation and their applicability in Arab archives, and exploring the possibilities of utilizing information and communication technologies to support the functions and services of the role of Arab archives. The Ministry of Health, the Golden Sponsor of the conference, presents in its pavilion, the history of the MOH dated back to 1928, the era of the late Founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, King Abdulaziz Al Saud. It also displays documents on the ministry's activities and achievements from 1952, in addition, the new (sahl) system for automation of transactions within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Abroad.
