Two top-level Pakistani officials welcomed today's announcement by the United Arab Emirates that Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), is to deposit $3 billion, in the State Bank of Pakistan (the nation's central bank), to support the liquidity and foreign currency reserves, according to WAM news agency. Shortly after the announcement, Pakistan's Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan posted on the mini-blogging platform Twitter a statement saying: "I want to thank the UAE government for supporting Pakistan, so generously in our testing times." For his part, Pakistani Foreign Minister (FM) has posted another thanking statement related to the issue, on the same platform, too.
