U.S. stocks surged Monday and the Dow Jones industrial average rose 287.97, or 1.1 percent, to 25,826.43.
The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 30.20, or 1.1 percent, to 2,790.37.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 110.98, or 1.5 percent, to 7,441.51.
