Importation of Living Birds from Netherlands Banned

Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has temporarily banned the importation of living bird, eggs, and chicks from Flevoland, Netherlands due to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza.
Director-General of the Department of Animal Risk Assessment Dr. Sanad Al-Harbi said that the ban is based on the warning bulletin issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on the emergence of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in that area.
