Secretary General of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue Faisal Bin Muammar stressed that the kingdom has provided a leading global model for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures. He pointed out that civil society organizations can build bridges of trust among all and that the center exerts international efforts and has a number of platforms in this regard. "The first stage was in Nigeria to increase the role of institutions and individuals in the dialogue between Muslims and Christians, the second platform in Myanmar and the third for understanding between institutions and individuals in the Arab world," Bin Muammar told Saudi Press Agency on the sidelines of a seminar held in Cairo today on the role of religious leaders and institutions in establishing a culture of dialogue. He added that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is sponsoring a number of initiatives and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince have launched various initiatives in the field of combating extremism and terrorism and supporting national dialogue and dialogue among followers of religions.
