U.S. stocks closed slightly higher Monday. The dollar traded 0.1 percent higher against a basket of currencies. Light sweet crude oil for April delivery added 6 cents to $54.05 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while gold futures lost $6 to $1,252.20 per ounce. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 15.68, or 0.08 percent, to 20,837.44. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index increased 2.39, or 0.10 percent, to 2,369.73. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 16.59, or 0.28 percent, to 5,861.90.
