Major Samih Al-Solami, Media Spokesman for the Special Force of the Grand Mosque Security in Makkah, stated that a man, at the age of 40, was arrested at the circumambulation passage near the holy Kaaba in Makkah here yesterday at 11:00 p.m. as he was pouring an amount of gasoline on his clothes prior to burning himself.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he added that the security personnel arrested him before burning himself whereas his behavior indicated that he suffered from psychopathy.
Major Al-Solami confirmed that all legal procedures will be taken in this regard.
