The command of the coalition forces issued a statement on commitment to a humanitarian truce in Yemen and the following is its text: - In response to the request of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi of the Republic of Yemen through a letter addressed to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, dated 24/07/2015 and the following is the letter's text: Dear brother the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia May peace, mercy and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon you:- I extend to you, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, my best greetings and appreciation, and I would like to refer to a letter sent to you and dated 7th of July, 2015 in which I have asked you to support the Yemeni government's position while discussing with the representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations the Declaration of a conditional humanitarian truce topped by the necessity that Houthis and their allies have to be committed to the truce and not to hinder the humanitarian aid. Emanating from our desire to enter and distribute the largest amount of humanitarian and medical assistance, it was decided to announce a five-day humanitarian truce as of tomorrow, Sunday, the 10th of Shawwal, 1436 AH corresponding to 26/07/2015 AD at 11:59 pm during which the military actions by coalition forces will be stopped but in case that Houthi militias and forces loyal to them may launch military acts or movements in any area, they will be confronted by the coalition forces, with the continuation of the air and maritime blockage and inspections as well as aerial reconnaissance for any military acts or movements by Houthi militias and forces loyal to them. I hope that you, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the leaders of coalition countries to approve and support this step for the sake of our quest to achieve security and stability for our country, praising your support and your noble positions towards Yemen's leadership and people.
