Ambassador Faisal bin Hassan Trad, Kingdom's representative to the United Nations in Geneva, objected to the false information in the report of the Human Rights Commissioner. Trad expressed his objection to the Commissioner of the Human Rights Prince Zaid bin Raad Al-Hussain who claimed that the GCC countries do not give expatriates their rights. In his speech delivered yesterday before the Human Rights Council during the discussion session of the human rights of migrants, Trad wondered how the expatriates do not get their rights and the outcome of their remittances from the Kingdom to their countries reached about US40 billion?. Trad rejected the Commissioner's claims and asked him to review his information sources to see the facts from the real sources and amend his reports. Trad said that there are not migrants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but there are about 10 million expatriates with clear temporary contracts granting their full rights and define their duties. He added that one of the most important principles of the Islamic Sharia (law) is the principle of honoring human and equality among the people in terms of the human rights. "The Saudi Basic Rule in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia states in article 26 the state's protection of the human rights in accordance with Islamic Sharia (law). The article 36 of the sane regulation confirmed the state's duty to provide security for its citizens and expatriates on its territories, as well as the article 47 confirmed the right of litigation for the citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom," Trad said.
