The President of Saudi Press Agency Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein stressed that documentation of the account in Twitter comes with the aim of providing news services and reliable news source in social networking sites, as well as the important role of interaction of this type of media that can make the beneficiary interactive with the media presentation. He pointed out that the presence of SPA account on Twitter website emanates from the role of the news agency to be a centralized body to collect and distribute local and international news inside and outside the Kingdom to keep pace with the development of the Kingdom in a critical stage of its progress and development and reflect the true image of the reality of this country and its people, and to be an honest mirror to transmit information in different forms to its citizens from the sites of events at home and abroad . The SPA President said that social networkings have imposed themselves on the media scenes and our presence across social tools ensures a different approach and interaction between the reader and the news and the speed of transmitting news supported by live and expressed image. He pointed out that the sharing and interaction within the new media tools come in the forefront of SPA objectives to keep pace with the development of existing media tools, stressing the SPA determination to go on development of its work in the field of new media through investing efforts of its media competencies and human and technical potentials qualifying it to continue the achievements of in this area. President Al-Hussein cautioned that the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) does not have any account other than the documented account SPAGOV@ and no other one.
