The Executive Bureau of the Health Ministers Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has been awarded the European Association for Quality Research in the field of quality achievements 2013, platinum category, in recognition of a number of activities and programs of the bureau, its role in combating contagious diseases as well as cooperation with regional and international health organizations to improve health services. Dr. Tawfiq bin Ahmed Khoja, Director of the bureau, received the prize at a special reception in London recently on behalf of Bahrain's Minister of Health, the current rotatory president of the council.
