‘Daesh' symptoms

EVERY disease has hidden or obvious symptoms that doctors can diagnose and treat. But most of us can identify certain illnesses just by recognizing the psychological or physical symptoms, which enables us to visit the doctor just in time and before it's too late.
What are the systems of ‘Daesh deviation'? In my opinion, the security, mental health and research sectors must collaborate and provide awareness tips to families to help them identify bizarre thinking that leads people to join Daesh or the Islamic State.
Signs include social isolation, suspicious Internet surfing, Internet and social media addiction, sudden behavioral changes…and any indication that could make it easier for families to notice changes.
Also, the society needs awareness announcements that highlight these symptoms so people can recognize anyone who follows the Daesh stream of thinking.
The Ministry of Interior and security forces cannot identify the behavior of every individual in our society and his or her affiliations or if someone is influenced by terroristic ideas.
But families, friends and relatives can tell through daily interaction if someone is falling into this trap. In fact, they have a huge responsibility to discover any type of abnormality in attitude or behavior.
It could help security forces to stop this person before he commits a crime that harms him and the people around him! Daesh promotes a disgusting strategy of killing relatives.
People who follow their lead call for the implementation of such madness. The goal is to shake the stability of families and break social ties.
Once that's accomplished, it becomes easy for Daesh to penetrate the community — when the values of kinship mean nothing anymore.
Today, families have a huge role to play in raising their children properly and holding on to family values to prevent the youngsters from such perverted thinking.
Transparent and proper treatment toward anyone who shows signs of Daesh thinking is a must. To protect a young man from himself and from committing insane crimes, someone must contact concerned authorities.
We're racing against time with this monstrous organization. We either protect our children and move quickly to protect our community by reporting those influenced by Daesh strategies, or wait until they become criminals sacrificing our blood and theirs.
