The first Haj flight from Indonesia carrying 436 pilgrims arrived at Prince Muhammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah Friday afternoon. Indonesian Charge D'Affaires in Riyadh Sunarko and Consul General in Jeddah Dharmakirty Syailendra Putra welcomed the pilgrims, who arrived at 12:30 p.m. on board a Garuda Indonesia flight from Ujung Pandang, South Sulawesi. The first flight was followed by the arrival of eight other flights also in Madinah from various regions of Indonesia. A total of 168,800 Indonesians will perform Haj this year. About 155,000 of them are registered under the state-run program while the remaining pilgrims will come through private operators. — SG
