A total of 208,549 Indonesian pilgrims are expected to arrive this year for Haj, according to the country's consulate. Of this number, 192,549 will be transported by the country's Haj Mission, while 16,000 will come with private operators, said Cahyono Rustam, the consulate's Information, Social and Cultural Affairs officer. “The Indonesian Haj Mission has put a great deal of effort into making this Haj successful,” he added. He said all pilgrims will receive a meal on arrival in Jeddah. The Indonesian government's Haj committee has employed 3807 people to serve the pilgrims, said Rustam. – SG Saudi Arabian Airlines and Garuda Indonesia will transport the majority of the pilgrims on 476 flights. In Makkah, most of the pilgrims will stay in 407 houses that are between two and seven kilometers away from the Haram, said Rustam. Transportation to the Holy Mosque has been arranged. In Madinah 75 percent of the pilgrims will be housed at a special center built by the Indonesian government, while the rest will stay at hotels. The pilgrims will leave Saudi Arabia in two groups because of the size of the delegation.
