Fun galore at World Circus

Eid is a festival that puts a smile on every ones faces – young and old. It brings along many joyous gatherings and activities.
This year on Eid Al Fitr Jeddah made its debut by playing host to the World Circus — adding more excitement and delight in residents and citizens alike. Located in North Obhur, the circus kicked off on July 18 and will continue till August 18.
Several international artists from Italy, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan entertained the audience with their audacious acrobatics, gymnastics, jugglers and balancing acts. Children and parents arrived in droves to witness the circus and other fun-filled activities at the venue.
A large tent alongside the circus' tent features small kiosks, selling hotdogs, popcorn and ice cream among other comfort foods. There is also a small play land for kids who can enjoy to the maximum till the show starts and even after that.
“I love the play land and clowns in the circus,” said Shayam, who visited the circus with his family.
Clowns entertain the crowd alongside the participants' performances. They keep asking elders and kids to join them on stage and be part of the fun act. “The best thing about the circus was when the clowns ask kids to be with them on stage,” said Mrs. Ali, one of the many spectators in the crowd.
Whether Saudi or expats, everyone relished the circus as entertainment doesn't need a language to convey the colors of happiness and joy. “I just came to Jeddah 6 months ago, and it is the first event I've attended in Jeddah,” said a newly married Indian bride who came along with her husband to witness the World Circus.
The spectators were awestruck watching the balancing acts especially on the Tower of Chairs. Kids hardly blinked while watching the performers and held their breath until the man came down.
The World Circus is a great opportunity to have some entertainment time with family. The shows take place thrice in a day — 7:30 pm, 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Tickets costing SR50 per person can be purchased at the entrance. VIP tickets worth SR 250 are also available. Children below 6 years of age can enter for free.
Freshen up at the World Circus and make your Eid and summer holidays a memorable one.
