Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 07 - 2015

RIYADH — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh held an Overseas Voters' Registration for members of Triskelion International – Central Region Council on recently at the Embassy chancery.
Christopher Reyes, Chairman of Triskelion International in the Central Region, coordinated with the Philippine Embassy to hold an Overseas Voter's Registration for its 150 members in preparation for the national elections in the Philippines in May 2016.
The Embassy's 5-member OV Registration Team was able to register 132 applicants out of the 155 members who came during the said registration schedule.
At the same time, there were also 23 members who are still active voters, based on the Voters' Search Database from the COMELEC.
Expressing his appreciation to the Embassy for the activity, Triskelion Chairman Reyes hoped that it would pave way for other community organizations to coordinate with the Embassy in arranging special registration activities for their members for the coming May 2016 elections.
The Embassy regularly conducts Overseas Voting Registration on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Embassy chancery.
The deadline for registration is Oct. 31 2015. Overseas Voting Registration is also being conducted in parallel with the Embassy-on-Wheels Consular Outreach to the other regions under the Embassy's jurisdiction. Filipino workers are constantly reminded to bring either of the following during OV Registration:
Previously issued COMELEC Identification Cards; Copy of current Philippine Passport; Photocopy of Seaman's book (for seafarers); or Other documents to prove that applicant is a Filipino.
