Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 07 - 2015

COFFEE has brought pleasure to the Arabic world and has brought people together for many centuries as they savor and share a moment together.
This social custom is just as important to Arabic culture today and this Ramadan, Nespresso will help to create extraordinary coffee moments during this special time.
Nespresso pays homage to Arabic culture, customs and taste preferences through traditional art forms, tasteful recipes, special events and promotions.
Nespresso will be sure to surprise and delight coffee lovers at this joyful time. Inspired by a highly respected Arabic art form, Nespresso collaborated with Saudi artist Majid Alyousef to create a unique and elegant piece of contemporary calligraphy that captures the spirit of culture and tradition.
The artwork was created to signify the way that people come together with their loved ones throughout this month and the role that Nespresso plays in bringing elegance and sophistication to these exceptional moments.
Just as coffee experts at Nespresso demonstrate world-class quality and expertise with the highest quality Grands Crus, so too does the talented artist reveal skill and imagination with his elegant design.
The artistic forms and designs were displayed in various boutiques throughout the Kingdom, and Nespresso has chosen this year the art of calligraphy for many of its properties starting with its age which started since more than 1,000 years, and because it is one of the first and most prominent art forms as well as the art of the Arab-Islamic architecture, and also used as a tool to tell tales and stories.
The Saudi artist Majid Al Yousuf has inspired his designs by the embodiment of the word "together", which reflects the importance of the kinship ties, a very important principle in the Arab and Islamic culture.
And in this holy month, there will be a greater emphasis on family and friends, and coffee is always an important part of this.
All his designs were inspired from coffee which is an essential part in the meetings of family and friends and he innovated a visual relationship with each letter of the characters and experiences to make in the end made art that tell the most important meanings of the holy month.
To elevate the coffee experience even further, Nespresso specialists and experts has designed four exquisite recipes featuring beautiful spices and fruits that encapsulate Arabic flavors and aromas such as cardamom, nutmeg and dates.
With a range of 23 Grand Cru coffees each with their own distinctive flavor profile, there is a Nespresso coffee to accompany you through each moment of this celebratory month.
To bring further moments of pleasure to coffee connoisseurs at Ramadan, Nespresso is offering a series of promotions and events and call all coffee lovers to do sample recipes and demonstration it at Nespresso boutiques two hours after Iftar every day from Sunday to Thursday.
To give something back to Club Members at this festive time, Nespresso has a range of interactive promotions.
They can grant gifts of coffee at this time wrapped in chic Ramadan gift wrap and they could easily ask for it from either Nespresso boutiques or by online.
For those who want to surprise their loved ones with a Nespresso gift, purchase a Nespresso Milk machine and get SR200 immediate discount, along with a SR200 coffee voucher.
Culminating the Ramadan period, Nespresso has created a series of four sumptuous recipes perfect for enjoying with friends and family after sunset. These include an Intense Cardamom Cappuccino, Apricot Semi-Freddo, Iced Coconut Latte and the Arabian Delight which includes a traditional drizzle of date syrup as decoration. — SG
