JEDDAH — The municipality and the Saudi Electricity Company are refusing to take responsibility over the death of a 19-year-old who was electrocuted after resting on a streetlight pole with exposed wiring. Mohammad Al-Kabi said his son Anwar was playing football at a public park three years ago and rested on the pole. He suffered the deadly electric shock because the wires of the streetlight were exposed. Al-Kabi said the municipality and the electricity company should take responsibility for their negligence and pay blood money compensation.
