RIYADH — Abdul Waheed smashed his fourth century in round eight of the ongoing SAIB T20 Tournament, organized by RCA and sponsored by Saudi Investment Bank.
Al-Kharaj League
Pak Shaheen beat Sama Steel by 6 wickets. Sama Steel posted 206-8. Asad scored 68, Nasir 56 and Asif 43. Salam picked up 4 wickets. Wahab and Aziz claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Pak Shaheen chased down the target in 18.5 overs. Abdul Waheed hit another sparkling century (111) to make it his fourth in the tourney. Ishaq contributed 53.
Shuraim lost to Lahore Badshah by 6 wickets. In an 18 overs per side match, Shuraim put on 183. Nadeem Babar top scored with 81. Lahore Badshah got to the target in just 15.5 overs.
Yassir's 103 ensured the team victory. The match between Amir Holidays and Sama Steel could not be completed due to bad weather. Sama Steel scored 267-7. Nasir hit 87 and Raja 61.
Before the match was called off, Amir Holidays had scored 204-5. Ramzan took 2 wickets. Lahore Lions humbled Shuraim by 4 wickets. Shuraim was all out for 193 in 19.2 overs.
Zeeshan (50), Nadeem (48) and Abbas (44) batted well. Nawaz picked up 4 wickets, while Dawood got 3. Lahore Lions chased down the target in 17.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Huraymala League (quarters)
In the first quarterfinal, Fonte Star thumped Riyadh Warriors by 46 runs. Fonte Star piled up a massive 229-3. Waseem smashed 100 and Bilal 72. Ayaz took 2 wickets.
Riyadh Warriors managed 183. Asif top scored with 61. Afaq got 2 wickets. Al-Babtain was humbled by Sulaiman-XI in the second quarterfinal. Sulaiman-XI posted 208.
Anwar hit 61 and Mudassar 35. Rizwan grabbed 2 wickets. Al-Babtain was restricted to 189-6. Javed (71) and Rizwan (50) cracked fifties. Mudassar took 3 wickets and Shakeel 2.
In the third quarters, Stallions registered a victory over Pakistan Falcons by 6 wickets. Pakistan Falcons collected 168 through Hamza (62) and Junaid (38).
Amir took 3 wickets, while Sohail and Adnan got 2 each. Stallions scored the required target in 18.1 overs. Adnan hit 68 and Adeel 33.
Falcons crushed Punjab Lions by 7 wickets in the last match. Punjab Lions scored 162-9. Asmat (40) and Baba (32) batted well.
Zeeshan and Asif took 3 wickets each. Falcons won the match in just 15.3 overs as Nadeem made 48, Kamran 43 and Asmatullah 40. Usman took 2 wickets.
