AL-AHSA — A man in his 60s died and another in his 40s was injured after their glider crashed into the ground east of Al-Ahsa. The victims' friend, Abdullah Al-Saad, said his friend Saleh Al-Hakim was an experienced glider. On the day of the incident, Al-Hakim was gliding with his friend Murtadhah Al-Jubran when their glider malfunctioned and they couldn't get it to lift into the air. They attempted to glide several times until they crashed hard into the ground. Both were taken to the hospital as Al-Hakim was in a coma while Al-Jubran fractured his jaws and hip and dislocated his shoulders. The hospital later reported Al-Hakim had passed away.
