RIYADH — The Shoura Council on Monday urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work out a program of financing in order to enable the ministry staffers working abroad to own homes in the Kingdom on the basis of soft loan installments. The council session, chaired by its Deputy President Muhammad Al-Jafri, directed the ministry to bear the cost of housing construction and allow the employees to return the money in line with set procedures. Yahya Al-Samaan, assistant president of the council, said the ministry has been asked to carry out studies about the prospect of providing equal treatment to foreign scholarship students who died or murdered or disabled due to terrorist or criminal acts to that of the military personnel. — SPA
