Chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Military Service Council has approved a number of topics on its agenda and taken relevant decisions. The Council's Secretary General Lieutenant General Nasser Al-Arfaj said that the decisions included the following: - The amendment of paragraph (IV) of the Cabinet's decision No. (1200) dated 9/9/1397H. regarding granting an officer, a private, or a cadet in the event of injury, disability or handicap preventing him from work, if the death or disability is due to work, a compensation amounting to SR 500,000. - The regulations of termination of the service of a military man in case of absence or dispense with his services, and the postponement of the decision of terminating his service until the cause of his absence is known in accordance with procedures set by military sectors for this purpose. - It is allowed to grant a military man who wishes to accompany his wife on scholarship abroad or one of his legal dependent a special leave, a maximum of four years. - The amendment of Article (11) of a service officers system regarding the calculation of seniority of graduates of military colleges at home and abroad, when they are equal, on the basis of the date of their graduation. - It is not allowed for a Saudi military man to have a nationality other than Saudi Arabian nationality. - Approval of regulations for the appointment of university officers, including the appointment of university graduates who apply to join the military service should be after succeeding in a qualification course, and calculating the duration of the course as an additional service . - Granting a salary from General Department for Annuities and Appanages equivalent to a military retirement system for those whose services end, join the military service irregularly and whose situations are corrected. - Amendment of a number of articles of regulations of the service of officers and privates, and approving a list of Rights and Financial Benefits.
