AL-QASSIM — Imran smashed a fabulous century (113) to lift Friends XI against Choudhry XI in their AQCL MoneyGram CKB Tournament here recently. The first match saw Janbaaz XI beat Abbottabad by 7 wickets. Janbaaz opted to bat first and posted 142 for 7 through Usman (57), Haroon (19) and Shoukat (18). Mubashir, Basharat and Abdulazeez claimed 2 wickets each. Janbaaz, in reply, reached 143 for 3 in 81 balls as Faiz hit 40, Nawaz 33 and Mubashir 20. In another match, Friends XI trounced Choudhry XI by 9 wickets. Choudhry XI posted 155, thanks to Sheebu making 46, Nadeem 27 and Rasheed 23. Osman grabbed 4 wickets and Naveed 2. Friends XI, in chase, reached home for the loss of one wicket in the 18th as Imran hammered a classy century (113) and Fahad added 27. Yamco downed Pak Unaizah by 3 wickets. Pak Unaizah posted 178 for 5 with Imran scoring 57, Ajmal 36, Javaid 31 and Shabbir 19. Mustafa scalped 3 wickets. Yamco, in chase, achieved 180 for 7 to win by 3 wickets as akram scored 47 and Jahangir 35. Saad Siddiqui took 4 wickets and Afaque 2. Shaheen XI downed Azad XI comfortably. Azad XI scored 153 for 9 through Manzoor making 45 and Sajjad 29. Noor Khan took 3 wickets and Ishtiaque 2. Shaheen XI reached the target in 110 balls as Noor Khan smashed 47 and Aamir 23. M. Ali, M.
