Asif bags hat trick in WPCA Morning MoneyGram

JEDAAH — Asif Mehmood of Universal XI grabbed a hat trick as six matches took place in the WPCA Morning MoneyGram Tournament here.
Al-Saudi XI, Universal XI, Mercedes Benz, ALJ Toyota, Sadafco and Crown Blue emerged victorious on the day.
In the first match Saudi XI beat Royal Brothers by 19 runs. Al-Saudi piled up 181 for 5 thanks to Nazeer Farooqui's 45, Faisal's 56 in 37 balls and Humayoun's unbeaten 49.
Hamid had 2-36. Royal Brothers, in reply, were stranded at 162 for 9. Bakhtiyar top-scored with 65 in 30 balls and Hamid hit 41. Adil grabbed 3-39 and Abbas 2-24.
Universal XI humbled Indian Knight Riders by 10 wickets. Indian Knight Riders were bundled out for 98 as Asif Mehmood cut through their batting line up to claim 4 for 17, including a hat trick. Owais Afzal supported him with 4 for 15.
Universal XI reached 101 without loss in 62 balls with Inayatullah making 55 and Asif 41.
Mercedes Benz downed Ralco by 52 runs. Mercedes Benz racked up 197 for 5. Ilyas scored 79 and Jabran 64 as the two added 116 runs for the first wicket.
Shafeeq and Babar claimed 2 wickets each. Ralco could manage only 145 for 9 in reply. Naeem made 30, Taher 32 and Babar 38 not out. Saifuddin scalped 4 for 23 and Javed 2.
ALJ Toyota crushed Harasco Baroom by 108 runs. ALJ Toyota hammered 225 for 5 with Imran smashing 85 in 38 balls with 12 fours and a six, Aftab Ansari 50 and Naveed unbeaten 29.
Zubair took 2-37. Harsco Baroom, in reply, was restricted to 117 with Zubair making 24 and Deepak 25. Tanveer Zamane claimed 3-26 and Aftab 2 for 3.
Sadafco trounced Nesma Holding by 3 wickets. Nesma was bowled out for 125. Jawwad scored 23. Zubair took 4 for 23 and Sadat 3-24. Sadafco was home (126) for the loss of 7 wickets in 88 balls thanks to Zubair's 30 and Asim's 27. Jawwad grabbed 3-20 and Rana 2.
Crown Blue humbled Asian Strikers by 9 wickets. Crown Blue reached the target of 103 for 1 as Saqib Butt hammered 61 and Anwaar Chandi 30.
