250 fans spray mist in Grand Mosque plazas

MAKKAH – The General Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques has equipped the Grand Mosque with 250 fans connected to water lines that will spray cold water to cool the air during prayer times and when the Grand Mosque is crowded with worshipers. These fans are automatically turned on when the temperature exceeds 30 degrees Celsius and operate 24 hours to alleviate the effect of the heat on worshipers. Studies for the development and expansion of the northern yards of the Grand Mosques have included many promising ideas and visions, which offer radical solutions to create an atmosphere suitable for worshipers.
