JEDDAH — The annual event of Jeddah Chapter Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (JCICAI) was held at the Al Shallal Theme Park recently. The event was attended by the chapter members, sponsors, and guests with families. It was sponsored by United Biscuits, Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel Group and Ernst & Young. Chairman Nadeem Bhamla, while welcoming members and guests, reviewed the chapter activities and commended the efforts of committee members during 2013 to provide seven quality technical sessions with renowned speakers of various fields. He briefed the chapter members of last year's financial position, enabling them to bring speakers from abroad for this year. He thanked all the sponsors and members for their support and marked out the committee members who worked tirelessly to make the evening a great success. A grand raffle with over 100 prizes was held comprising products ranging from air tickets, gold coins, LCD's, laptops, iPads, gift vouchers, cell phones, wrist watches, perfume sets and electronic items. Aijaz Hashmi, Vaseem Shaikh, Vijay Soni and Manoranjan Baral won the first four prize of Jeddah-Mumbai-Jeddah ticket for a couple,each sponsored by United Biscuits, Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, Ernst & Young and Unitrans Budget. Shareef Akrami won air ticket, Air India; Mohammed Aneesul Hasan won 32GB iPad, ALJCO; Mohammed Ajmal won Samsung S5, Moataz Al Madani; Rameez Anwar won 20.5 Gram Gold Biscuit, Deloitte; Nabi Khan won 15 Gram Gold Biscuit,Price Waterhouse Coopers; and Suruma Sreekanth won Canon Camera, Ali Zaid Al Quraishi. Each member was presented with Titan watch sponsored by Al Hussain & Al Yahya Investment Group and a pair of perfume set sponsored by Avon. As a token of appreciation the chapter felicitated all sponsors with Cross Pen sponsored by Tamer and Perfume sponsored by Avon. The children raffle comprising bicycles and remote controlled toys were sponsored by Binzagr Co and gift hampers by Giordano & Ajmal Perfumes. The tambola game was sponsored with generous gifts from California Computers and Al Hamli Trading.
