JEDDAH — The annual event of Jeddah Chapter Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (JCICAI) was sponsored by American Express and held at the Al Shallal Theme Park. The event was attended by the chapter members, sponsors, and guests with families. It was co-sponsored by Ernst & Young, Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel Group and United Biscuits. Chairman Nadeem Bhamla, while welcoming members and guests, reviewed the chapter activities and commended the efforts of committee members during 2012 to provide seven quality technical sessions with renowned speakers of various fields. He briefed the chapter members of the financial position for 2012, which will enable it to bring speakers from abroad for 2013. He thanked all the sponsors and members for their support and marked out the committee members, who worked tirelessly to make the evening a great success. A grand raffle with over 100 prizes was held comprising products ranging from air tickets, gold coins, LCD's, laptops, gift vouchers, cell phones, wrist watches, perfume sets, and electronic items. Aurangzeb Khan won the first prize of 20 grams gold coin sponsored by American Express; Tahir Kapadia won the second prize of 17 grams gold coin sponsored by Ernst &Young; Tariq Aslam Kapadia won the third prize of 15 grams gold coin sponsored by MALJ Group. Zakkir Hussain won air tickets for a couple for Jeddah-Mumbai-Jeddah sponsored by Unitrans Budget and Abdul Malik won an air ticket sponsored by Air India. Nishrin Moosani won the iPad sponsored by Ajil Finance, Rafey Syed won a Samsung laptop sponsored by Price Waterhouse Coopers and Ravish Tatli won Canon Video Camera sponsored by Ali Zaid Al Quraishi. Each member was presented with a Titan watch sponsored by Al Hussain & Al Yahya Investment Group, while perfume sets were sponsored by Tamer Group and a TNT Voucher for sending document to any place in India. The children raffle comprising bicycles and remote controlled toys were sponsored by Binzagr Co. The tambola game was sponsored with generous gifts from Abdul Latif Jameel Electronics Company – Toshiba, Sharp & Dora.
