LuLu Hypermarket ‘British Week' 2014 starts today

RIYADH – LuLu Hypermarket, Saudi Arabia is all set to celebrate “British Week” 2014 under the patronage of the UK Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
The British Week at Lulu Hypermarket, supports The GREAT Campaign launched by British Prime Minister David Cameron to promote the United Kingdom abroad. The seven- day long event will showcase food products from Europe especially from the UK starts today (Wednesday) until Feb. 4.
Sir John Jenkins, British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia will be the chief guest and inaugurate the “British Week” campaign. The inauguration will be held at 10.30 a.m. at LuLu Hypermarkets, Murabba.
The inaugural ceremony of Lulu Hypermarket, Al- Khobar will be held on the same day at 6 p.m. by Steve Graham, Head of British Trade Office, Al- Khobar.
Given the cosmopolitan clientele and culture of LuLu, “British Week” campaign will broaden its horizon to exhibit the fresh import ranges like gluten free products, organic products, free range eggs, fresh breads, goats milk and yogurts, diabetic products, flavored yogurts, chocolates, fresh fruits & vegetables, pies & cakes, canned foods and many more. There will be more than 3,000 imported products from UK available in our hypermarkets during this week-long campaign at attractive prices, said Paul Greenfield, Operation Manager, LuLu Hypermarkets, Saudi Arabia.
The British Week 2014 will be a much better experience for the customers as the event is organized with active support from LuLu's British Subsidiary ‘Y' International (UK) Ltd, in Birmingham which span across in 100,000sq. ft and operated by 100-plus nationals. British Week will thus able to show case 3,000 plus indigenous top quality British produces in various categories.
Customers can also savor the culinary skills of popular British Chef Gareth Pugsley through an exclusive British event “A Chat with a British Chef” which will be held in line with British Week 2014. Visitors to Lulu will have an opportunity of explore on the wide varieties of British recipes.
