JEDDAH — Zinda Tilismat beat Micro Engineering by 37 runs, Deccan Knights beat Jawar Al-Jazirah by 7 wickets, ICC Irfan Basha downed Kanoo by 61 runs and Natco lost the match on technical grounds in the ACE Travel Premier Division Tournament, organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) and sponsored by the ACE Travel & Tours, here recently.
In the first match, Zinda Tilismat batted first and put on 210 and restricted Micro Engineering to 173-5. For Zinda Tilismat, Javed hammered 74 off 35 balls (4x9, 6x4), Irfan 14, Urooj 15, Yaqoob 60 (4x4, 6x1) off 37 balls and Sarfaraz 27. Mujahid claimed 3-42. Ilyas, Asif Usman and Khaja got one wicket each.
For Micro Engineering, Sharief contributed 25 with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Usman scored 16. Jawwad was the highest scorer for Micro with 67 (4x6, 6x4). Mujahid remained unbeaten on 23. Micro Engineering reached 173-5. Abdullah, Saeed, Noor and Shadab claimed one wicket each.
In the second match, Jawar Al-Jazirah tallied 171-6 and Deccan Knights hit the target for the loss of 3 wickets with 4 overs to spare. For Jawar Al-Jazira, Asim scored 31 (4x3, 6x1), Sajid 50 (4x6) in 30 balls, Adil 17 and Abid 24. Deccan Knight's Imran and Athar claimed 2 wickets each for 33 and 42 runs, respectively. Karam Ali claimed one.
Najeeb and Sohail provided a reasonable start of 48 runs in 5 overs to Deccan Knights.
Sohail scored 15 with a four and a six. Najeeb remained unbeaten on 68 (4x7). Athar scored 18 and Imran 34 not out with 4 boundaries. Adnan claimed 2-33 and Kamran 1-14.
In the third match, ICC Irfan Basha scored 208-8 and Kanoo was skittled out for a paltry 147. For ICC Irfan Basha, Azhar scored 15 and Irfan 29 (4x4). Babar played 23 balls for 35 with 4 fours and a six. Raheel contributed 38 (4x4) off 25 deliveries, Zameer 21 (4x1, 2x6), Umar 37 (4x3, 6x1) and Nabeel 16. For Kanoo, Sami, Najam and Mohair claimed 2 wickets each for 32, 31 and 34 runs, respectively. Mansoor got one.
Kanoo, in reply, was all out for 147. Tabrez scored 24 off 15 balls (4x3), Najam 16 and Shani 39 (4x2, 6x2). Raheel and Nabeel claimed 2 wickets each for 7 and 39 runs, respectively. Atta, Irfan and Azhar got one each.
