NEOM — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received on Monday a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. During the call, the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and their security and humanitarian repercussions. The Crown Prince reiterated Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the crimes, brutal practices, and attempts for displacement perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people. He emphasized the need for the international community to end the disastrous repercussions of this aggression and protect Palestinian civilians. On his part, President Abbas expressed his deep appreciation of the Saudi efforts and honorable positions, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince, saying that this was contributed to the commitment of many countries to recognize the State of Palestine. The Palestinian president also expressed his appreciation of the Saudi leadership's tireless efforts in coordinating positions to ensure the greatest international support for the Palestinian cause during the New York Conference, and for its steadfast positions and efforts to stand with the Palestinian people and their just cause.
