LuLu launches American festival ‘Discover AmerIca'

RIYADH — The region's largest hypermarket and supermarket chain, LuLu unveiled "Discover America", its weeklong showcase of high-quality food products from the US, which was inaugurated by John Abizaid, ambassador of the United States of America, in the presence of Shehim Mohammed, director of LuLu Hypermarkets Saudi Arabia, government officials, and other LuLu dignitaries in a virtual launch event held here.
In Jeddah region, the festival was virtually inaugurated by Ryan M. Gliha, consul general of the United States of America. The promotion will run till Dec. 19, 2020.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehim said: "LuLu has been known for being the ultimate shopping destination of multi-ethnic customers in the Kingdom, and this festival is one such proof that our shoppers make American products an essential to their grocery shopping, especially for the festivities in this season.
"USA has been one of our key supporting countries for a wide range of products with both fresh and frozen range at the highest quality. We are proud to have the continuous support of the Embassy of the United States of America in organizing this event."
LuLu, which has its own sourcing office in New Jersey, USA, has flown in more than 3,000 products in different categories, such as fruits and vegetables, healthy and organic groceries, dairy range, bakery products, cooking ingredients, and more for this promotion.
Apart from the staple collection, new products straight from the land of the Star-Spangled Banner will be newly launched in stores, such as Essentia 9.5 PH purified mineral water, Milkadamia assorted macadamia milk, KLG Gold edible premium cardamon fruitas, Canada Dry flavored ginger ale, and Sauder's organic free-range eggs.
