Ace Travel to sponsor JCA Saudi Cup
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 09 - 2020

Ace Travel will sponsor the "Ace Travel Saudi Cup League" organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). This is 12th year of Ace Travel's sponsorship of JCA League. This decision was made after a meeting between Ace Travel and JCA representatives recently.
This will be the first major T20 league after resumption of cricket activities post COVID-19. Present from Ace Travel wereAshfaq Ahmed (general manager, Saudi Arabia), Shamshad Khan (director of finance) and Yaseen Al-Shareef (operations manager) as well as Ahmed Bin Mahfooz and Abdulrehman Merchant from the JCA side.
Merchant thanked Ace Travel management in general and Ashfaq Ahmed, Shamshad Khan and Yaseen Al-Shareef in particular for supporting JCA activities, more so in the light of recent developments with the formation of Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) headed by Prince Saud Bin Mishal Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Abdul Aziz as president.
SACF is now recognized as the sole official organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia responsible for promotion development, management and organization of cricket at regional, national and international levels.
The formation of SACF will be a big game changer for cricket in KSA with cricket expected to be introduced at grass root levels in schools to encourage and train Saudi youth to participate in cricket as a sporting activity and develop them as amateur and professional cricketers.
It will also witness international teams from cricket playing countries coming to play international matches in KSA, which in turn will be beneficial for cricketers, spectators and sponsors.
JCA assured Ace Travel management of its continuous efforts to ensure prompt coverage of Ace Travel Saudi Cup matches in print and social media.
Ashfaq Ahmed praised JCA's organizing capability and contribution in developing and promoting cricket amongst youth in Jeddah thereby instilling spirit of sportsmanship.
He thanked JCA for giving Ace Travel an opportunity to sponsor JCA's brand Saudi Cup and assured them of its continued support as part of its corporate social responsibility to promote sports in general and cricket in particular.
