Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — The Blood Donor's Group of the Indian Social Forum (ISF) organized recently a virtual awareness session on the importance of blood donation in connection with the World Blood Donor's Day. Dr. Mohammad Aleem, welfare consul of the Consulate General of India, inaugurated the event. He congratulated the forum for their efforts in holding blood donation drive and assured all support. In his inspiring speech, Dr. Mohannad Abdullah Al-Zahrani, manager of Madain Al-Fahd Specialized Public Health Centre at King Abdulaziz Hospital, Jeddah, highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation. Dr. Jemshith Ahmed, vice president of Abeer Medical Group, and Feroz Khan of India Forum and a number of other Indian community leaders spoke on the occasion. Ashraf Morayur, president of central committee of ISF, presided over the function in which Abdul Ghani briefed all on the welfare activities of the forum. Al-Aman Ahmad, coordinator of Donor's Park, welcomed the gathering while EM Abdullah, general secretary of ISF, proposed the vote of thanks. ISF had launched its blood donors group, titled "Donor's Park" in 2019 and a WhatsApp group exclusively intended to promote blood donation and enhance awareness in this regard among members of the society. Donors from various walks of life joined hands in the drive and that resulted in 133 blood donations after the group's inception.
