Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 01 - 2020

Vision 2030 and the emphasis on diversification from oil-reliance has led Saudi Arabia to plan and spend billions on hospitality, residential, commercial and retail projects that demand the full range of interior and fit-out products.
Saudi Arabia is home to the Middle East's largest construction market, making it the region's largest interior design and fit-out buyer, with a the interior market value of $3.5bn.
INDEX Saudi, Saudi Arabia's leading interior design and fit-out trade exhibition taking place form Feb. 3-5 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center caters to the demands of the ongoing construction projects along with mega projects including The Red Sea Development Project and the King Abdullah Economic City, among others, by bringing more than 200 leading international and local interiors and fit-out brands right here to Riyadh from across 20 countries.
INDEX Saudi serves as a leading sourcing platform for Saudi Arabia's buyers who demand quality interior products and services including furniture, lighting, décor, accessories, kitchen & bathroom products, textiles, flooring & surfaces, marble, stone, ceramics among others, for the hospitality, commercial, residential and retail sectors.
The event will connect interior suppliers and manufacturers with interior designers, architects, project managers and procurement professionals who are actively involved in the thousands of fit-out projects across the Kingdom.
"We're very excited about the February edition of the event because it provides the perfect opportunity to source the most comprehensive category mix of products and services whilst staying updated with the latest design trends. It is the only platform for Saudi-based interior professionals to access products and services directly from more than 200 local and international suppliers," said Jaafar Shubber, event director for INDEX Saudi.
This year, INDEX Saudi will be co-located with the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo, which is the only trade event in the Kingdom dedicated to its ever-growing entertainment and leisure industry. Both shows, together, are expected to draw more than 10,000 visitors!
Nadine Sinno, communication officer at International Timber Company-ITCO, said, "ITCO is delighted to once again be part of INDEX Saudi. We are on a continuous path to help develop the interior design sector and we have found in INDEX Saudi the right partner to showcase our set to the local market. We look forward to participating in the industry's leading event and creating opportunities to continue fulfilling the needs of the construction market."
