KBNCE alumni, Abeer organize free medical camp

JEDDAH — As part of their social and community welfare development program, the Khaja Banda Nawaz College of Engineering (KBNCE) Gulbarga Alumni Jeddah Chapter organized a free medical camp in association with Abeer Medical Center in Aziziyah District here recently.
A large number of Indian expatriates including KBNCE alumni with their families, friends, and children visited Abeer Medical Center and availed the free health assessment facility. The health assessment program included blood pressure and blood sugar measurement, body mass index (BMI), ECG, orthopedic consultation and cardiology screening.
Abeer Medical Group is known for its quality and affordable healthcare with a mission to expand awareness on the enhancement of healthy lifestyles.
A dedicated team of Abeer medical professionals, doctors, nurses, ECG technicians, and other paramedical staff were deputed to counsel the visitors. The management and resource persons were also available to facilitate the camp operations.
Ghazanfar Ali Zaki, senior public relations officer Al Abeer Group said: "I have seen teams from different colleges but KBNCE alumni keep them engaged serving the community apart from their technical programs.
KBNCE Alumni Jeddah Chapter President Syed Nasir Khursheed appreciated Abeer Medical Group management efforts to provide all the necessary arrangements, medical staff support, and the facilities. He admired the health awareness initiative taken by Abeer Medical Group and thanked its CEO Mohammed Alungal and Gazanfar Ali Zaki. He also thanked the executive committee including those who are away Mohammed Zubair from Dubai and Abubakar Bin Hussain from Riyadh for their efforts in conducting the camp.
Vice president of KBNCE Alumni Saleh Bin Ali stated that such camps should be conducted more frequently to bring health awareness and foster the importance of regular health checkup in society.
KBNCE Alumni general secretary and the event manager Syed Mohiuddin said that regular health checkups can help detect the illness at early stage, and to cure it faster and save a life before it can cause any damage. He expressed his gratitude to the Medical Center staff for providing their professional services.
Abdul Rahman CEO Infra Tech said it was another opportunity for the almuni to meet the executive committee. He said screening of the patients and medical advice during the entire duration of the camp was excellent.
Chief Coordinator of KBNCE alumni Mohammed Yahiya stated that he was surprised at the results of the random medical screening. During the check up, many patients were diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, and high uric acid levels.
Imdad Ali, joint secretary of the alumni, said, "The camp helped bring health awareness, and it shall be regularly conducted particularly among the deprived people who don't have medical insurance policies and have poor knowledge about diseases."
Amjad Ali, coordinator, said, the camp made one thing clear that engineers are health conscious and take care of others health too. Tabrez Hussain, cultural secretary, said, engineers are solution providers, and they realized multiple solutions and major awareness after spending few hours in the camp.
Aejazuddin, PR coordinator, said, after seeing the camp, realization came that it was yet another opportunity to meet batchmates in a different environment. Ibrahim Khaleel, executive member, described the camp as successful as there was a good number of attendees and even relatives of members benefited.
Executive committee members from KBNCE Alumni Yanbu Chapter Mohsin Sanghar and Aasim Umair too attended the camp and said it was a wonderful experience.
The camp was concluded with a special thanks note by business development executive Aashik Ashraf to the alumni for taking interest in organizing the camp.
