KBNCE Alumni calls on engineers to be competitive

Indian engineers from KBNCE Alumni Jeddah chapter organized a technical presentations as a part of their annual general meet at Village Restaurant Banquet Hall here recently. The program was attended by large number of engineers, who studied from KBN College of Engineering Gulbarga, from the region.
Syed Nasir Khursheed, president KBNCE Alumni Jeddah Chapter, presided over the function while technical presentations were delivered by Saleh Bin Ali Munassar, treasurer, and Amjad Ali, joint coordinator, while presentation on KBNCE Alumni was delivered by PR Coordinator Mohammed Ismail Zubair.
Event Golden Sponsor Abdul Majeed Bathruddin, general manager Universal Inspection company, and co-sponsor Syed Ahmed Ali Soofi, area manager Global Architectural Industrial Company formally Zamil Partitions, also delivered presentation on their respective fields.
Khursheed, in his speech, called on engineers to be competitive in their profession by upgrading themselves and sharpening their skills to cope with cutting edge technologies. He appreciated the dedication and hard work of the executive committee members for the development of alumni, while also expressing a deep sense of appreciation towards golden sponsor Abdul Majid Bathruddin and co-sponsor Syed Ahmed Ali Soofi for their support to organize the technical presentations during Annual General Meet.
He applauded the services of late Janab Syed Shah Mohammed Mohammed ul Hussaini Sahab for his services towards the community by establishing technical colleges in Gulbarga and he was known as Sir Syed of Deccan. He, in his speech, thanked Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini Sahab, president Khaja Education Society, Gulbarga, and Professor Ruksar Fatima for providing opportunity to form KBNCE Alumni Jeddah.
Mohammed Ismail Zubair delivered a presentation on KBNCE Alumni. He highlighted the process of formation and functioning of alumni which was formed on Feb. 8, 2014 on the recommendation from President of Khaja Education Society Dr. Syed Shah Khusro Hussaini Sahab.
He also highlighted the activities carried out by Alumni by organizing technical seminars and workshops on Primavera and Quality assurance program along with contribution of Alumni towards society and regular iftar gatherings for the members.
Members were delighted to see the photographs of their professors, college campus and the city which was completely changed but still retained the taste of its Tahari and Mamu poori.
Finally the presentation ended by launching the website for Western province Alumnus www.kbncealumnijed.com and emphasized the importance of alumni, which can play important role in sharing knowledge with each other.
Saleh Bin Ali Munassar delivered technical presentation on "Engineering Ethics and Attitude" he emphasized on the importance of engineering ethics, which provides methods and techniques to engineers for tackling the moral issues and dilemmas in their work.
Amjad Ali delivered technical presentation on risk management, and defined ways to deal with risk as risk management identifies who is responsible for dealing with the risk and what are the actions that can be taken to mitigate the risk, in case of risk occurrence what will be the impact on project base line (time, cost, quality and benefits).
Bathruddin invited all the engineers of alumni to visit their material testing laboratory, which is fully equipped with machines of latest technology.
Syed Naimatullah Hussaini, vice president of alumni conducted the event by keeping audience involved with a quiz. Syed Mohiuddin Ahmed, general secretary, delivered welcome speech and highlighted the objectives of the alumni while speakers were introduced by Mohammed Tabrez Hussain, cultural secretary, and Syed Qutbuddin, IT coordinator.
Mementos were given to Syed Mohiuddin Ahmed, Joint Treasurer Abubakr bin Hussain, Syed Qutbuddin, Syed Jaleel Ahmed Razvi, sponsors and the presenters of the event. The program started with recitation of few verses of Holy Qur'an by Mohammad Aejazuddin.
Coordinator of Alumni, Mohammed Yahiya proposed vote of thanks. He expressed deep sense of appreciation for executive committee members and all the members coming from Jeddah, Makkah, Yanbu and Rabigh and attending the event and making it grand success. — SG
