Islamabad United, Chinar triumph in Ace Travel Saudi Cup

JEDDAH — Islamabad United, Chinar, Saudi Oil, Butt Sports, Pak Zalmi and Makkah Eagles triumphed over their respective opponents coupled with excellent individual performances by Athar (101) of ARM, Makki (6 for 14) of Makkah Eagles and Imran (5 for 16) of Butt Sports during the 6th week matches of Ace Travel Saudi Cup sponsored by Ace Travel and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
A sensible knock by Saddam (75) enabled Saudi Oil beat ARM United by 4 wickets despite Athar's classic unbeaten knock of 101 off 58 balls (4x12, 6x1).
Fine knocks from Gowher (56) and Asim (51) backed by tight bowling from Farhan (3 for 15) and Raza (3 for 20) gave Islamabad United a 107-run win over Jeddah Gladiators.
Excellent bowling by Uzair (3 for 38), Ahmed (2 for 40) and Muzaffer (2 for 40) and brilliant batting by Naseer (79) enabled Chinar win by 10 runs against Al-Burj, despite in-form Atta Muskan's valiant knock of 78 and Sher Khan's all-round show (33 runs and 3 for 20).
Tight bowling in tandem by Abid (3 for 40) and Raza (3 for 11) and brilliant batting by Waqas (60) gave Pak Zalmi a 7-wicket win over Royal Jurana.
An inspired spell of 6 for 14 by Makki and Ejaz's aggressive knock of 62 enabled Makkah Eagles win by 4 wickets against Kashmir Stags.
Rizwan's (55) awesome batting display and fine bowling spell by Imran (5 for 16) gave Butt Sport a narrow win by 7 runs over Shawahid despite Samad's 57 and Shad Khan's 28 runs and 3 for 50.

Saudi Oil beat ARM United by 4 wickets. ARM United 185-6 (Athar 101, Ateeq 2 for 28, Ashiq 2 for 18). Saudi Oil 191-6 in 17.2 overs (Saddam 75 not out, Hasnain 29, Muneeb 2 for 29, Arsalan 2 for 31).
Islamabad United beat Jeddah Gladiators by 107 runs. Islamabad United 189-6 (Gowher 56, Asim 51, Sikandar 2 for 34). Jeddah Gladiators 82 all out (Kaleem 23, Farhan 3 for 15, Raza 3 for 20).
Chinar CC beat Al-Burj by 10 runs. Chinar 210 for 6 (Naseer 79, Adil 39, Sher Khan 3 for 20). Al-Burj 200 all out (Atta Muskan 78, Illyas 28, Uzair 3 for 38, Muzaffer 2 for 40).
Pak Zalmi beat Royal Jurana by 7 wickets. Royal Jurana 158 all out (Mansoor 28, Aleem 31, Abid 3 for 40, Raza 3 for 11). Pak Zalmi 159-3 in 15.3 overs (Waqas 60, Fida 25, Muzzamil 2 for 31).
Makkah Eagles beat Kashmir Stags by 4 wickets. Kashmir Stags 133 all out (Azhar 34, Shani 31, Makki 6 for 14). Makkah Eagles 134-6 in 11.4 overs (Ejaz 62, Saad 35, Samit 2 for 18).
Butt Sports beat Shawahid by 7 runs. Shawahid 184 all out (Samad 57, Shad 28, Imran 5 for 16). Butt Sports 191 for 7 in 18 overs (Rizwan 55, Zeeshan 30, Shad 3 for 50).
