Rizwan, Mirza set Al-Houd T-20 Cup alight

RIYADH — Evergreen 6ers, Gujranwala, Karachi Titans, Black Caps Super Green beat their rivals in the Al-Houd T-20 Cup matches played here recently.
Rizwan's ton and Baber Mirza's six wickets were the highlights of the matches organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL).
In the first match, Karachi Titans defeated Maestro by 53 runs. Batting first, Karachi Titans scored 225 for the loss of two wickets. Rizwan hit 116 with the help of 17 boundaries, while Bilal added 62 and Mudassir 28.
Feroz Khan and Saqib Memon took a wicket each. In reply, Maestro could only make 172 for the loss of eight wickets. Jaraluddin made 29 runs, Rahil 27 and Hasmir 24. Saleem took three wickets, Amjad two, while Moin and Junir took one each. Rizwan was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
The second match saw Black Caps beat nasair by one wicket. nasair put on 142 for nine wickets. Zafar hit 45, Syed 20 and Fayyaz 18. Sanaullah took four wickets, Zeeshan Afzal two while Bilal, Mukeen and Akeel bagged one wicket each. In reply, Black Caps achieved the target for the loss of nine wickets with two over to spare. Abid scored 43, Farhad 29 and Kanwar 17.
Omer took three wickets, Murtaza and Zulfi two each, while Zafar and Osman bagged one each. Sanaullah was named the Man-of-the-Match. Another match saw Gujranwala defeat Cyberoam by 49 runs. Batting first, Gujranwala scored 214 for the loss of six wickets. Waqar made 63, Omar 51 and Dastagir 30.
Kamran took three wickets, Tariq two and Adil one. In reply, Cyberoam could score only 165 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Waqar made 53, Adil 45 and Zeeshan 19. Kamran took three wickets, Usman and Ghulam two each, while Omar and Ahmed claimed one each. Omar claimed the Man-of-the-Match award.
In the fourth match, Super Green beat Bhatkal by 57 runs. Super Green put on 211 for three wickets. Rashid Mirza made 95, Adnan Malik 44 and Shoaib 29. Madani, Hanif and Riaz took one wicket each. In reply, Bhatkal made 154 for the loss of eight wickets. Saad hit 45, Musib 22 and Madani 20. Babar Mirza claimed six wickets and Riaz two wickets, while Adnan bagged one. Babar Mirza clinched the Man-of-the-Match honor.
The fifth encounter saw Ever Green 6ers defeat Star-XI by nine wickets. Batting first, Star Eleven made 150 for eight wickets. Haroon, Adil and Jamsheed claimed two wickets each, while Khawar Zafar and Hafiz took one each. In reply, Ever Green achieved the target for the loss of one wicket in 15 overs. Mushtaq hit 60, Muhsan 43 and Khawar Zafar 25. Mushtaq was named the Man-of-the-Match.
