Falcons prevail in Amaq Cup T20 event

RIYADH — Falcons, Cricket Samarwa, GamePro, Karachi Titans, Maestro and Super Green defeated their rivals in the Amaq Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, which is organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) here.
The third week matches saw some fine all-round performances by Sirajuddin, Abu Baker and Imran Gavanji and fine bolwing by Rizwan, Rahil and Dastageer.
In the first match, Falcons defeated Gujranwala by 5 runs. Batting first, Falcon scored 201-6 through Nazim Siddiqui 56, Nadeem Shah 46 and Sirajuddin 42.
Ashraf took 2 wickets, while Saleem and Owais one each. In reply, Gujranwala reached 196-9. Usman made 39, Ashraf 36 and Dastagir 30. Sirajuddin took 4 wickets, Sohail 2 and Bilawal Haneef 1. Sirajuddin was declared the Man-of-the-Match for his 42 runs and 4 wickets.
Cricket Samarwa won the second match by 72 runs against Black Caps. Batting first, Cricket Samarwa made 242-3. Abu Baker hit 76, Shakeel 53 and Aasif Sheikh 38. Sanaullah, Ameer and Zahid claimed one wicket each. In reply, Black Caps managed 170-7. Sanaullah contributed 46, Moqeem 37 and Bilal 35. Abu Baker and Aasif Sheikh took 2 wickets each, while Sohail and Aamir got 1 each. Abu Baker won the Man-of-the-Match for his 76 runs and 2 wickets.
In the third match, GamePro defeated Royal Fighters by 73 runs. Batting first, Game Pro scored 189-6 through Imran Gavanji 82, Khaleel Goltay 48 and Farhan 18. Tawwab and Shariq grabbed 2 wickets each, while Ali Ahmed and Ameen claimed 1 apiece. In reply, Royal Fighters were skittled out for 117. Ameen 37, Izhar 23 and Mustafa 25 were the main scorers. Imran Gavanji took 3 wickets, Farhan and Zakaria Hasan got 2 each, while Ratanjeet and Saddam claimed 1 each. Imran Gavanji was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
Karachi Titans thrashed Cyberoam by 8 wickets in the fourth match. Batting first, Cyberoam made 141. Adil hit 52, Amjad 30 and Waqar 11. Rizwan took 3 wickets, Saleem 2, while Bilal, Afaq and Moiz claimed 1 each. In reply, Karachi Titans hit the target for the loss of 2 wickets in 12.3 overs. Bilal played well to make 68. Rizwan made 25 and Yasir 20. Adil and Zeshan got 1 wicket each. Rizwan was named the Man-of-the-Match.
In the fifth match, Maestro won by 10 wickets against Bhatkal Warriors. Batting first, Bhatkal Warriors made just 93, mainly through Fahad 22 and Zaheer 12. Rahil Lala bowled magnificently for 4 wickets, while Saqib and Imran took 2 each. In reply, Maestro achieved the target easily without losing a wicket in 6.2 overs.
Feroz Khan led the onslaught with 66 not out and Shoaib made 19 not out. Rahil Lala was adjudged the Man-of-the Match.
Super Green defeated Riyadh Sports Club by 5 wickets in the sixth match. Batting first, Riyadh Sports Club tallied 160-9. Kifayat hit 60, Sunil 18 and Younis 16. Dastageer took 3 wickets, Riaz Ahmed 2, while Adnan, Sajed, Baber and Zahoor got 1 each. In reply, Super Green achieved the target for the loss of 5 wickets in 15.5 Overs. Sajed made 37 runs, Khawar 28 and Noman 21. Sattar took 3 wickets and Sunil 1. Dastageer won the Man-of-the-Match award.
