BIC, Sakhir – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is all set to welcome back the stars of the race track with the National Racing Festival taking place this weekend here. Taking place as part of the festival will be the fourth round of the 2012-2013 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship from Wednesday to Friday, along with Round Six of the 2012-2013 BIC 2,000cc Challenge Friday. The weekend's events are being organized in cooperation between BIC, the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Bahrain Drag Racing Club and the Circuit Racing Club. Round Four of the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship will kick-start Wednesday with a Test and Tune session starting from 6 p.m. It will be followed Thursday by qualifying, also from 6 p.m. Race Day will be Friday and is scheduled to begin from 5 p.m. Drivers from countries across the region, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are expected to join the action on the quarter-mile strip alongside Bahrain's top talents. Meanwhile, the 2,000cc will be taking to the race track from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with plenty of action promised from practice, to qualifying and then the final. The meeting will see the battle resume between some of the Kingdom's top drivers, including Shaikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Raed Himmo, Abdulrahman Ghuloom, Tim Birkin and defending champion Stephen Kellogg. — SG
