Mudassir, Mohammed, Asad shine in inter-school tourney

RIYADH — In the fourth week of Saudi Gazette Inter-School Cricket Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket League and sponsored by Saudi Gazette, Mudassir and Mohammed displayed outstanding all-round performances, while Asad Khan shone with the bat.
PISR Nasseriya (U-16), PIS Sulaimaniya (U-16) and PISR Nasseriya (U-19) won against their rivals.
In the first match, PISR Nasseriya (U-16) won by 9 wickets against Delhi Public School (DPS U-16). Batting first, DPS made 155-9 in 20 overs. Aariz was in good form and made 38 runs. Fahad and Rajiv contributed 20 and 15, respectively. Haseeb took 4 wickets, while Mudassir, Waleed, Sufiyan and Moieed claimed one wicket each.
In reply, PISR Nasseriya started the innings aggressively and achieved the target by losing only one wicket in 17 overs. Mudassir played well and remained unbeaten on 64. Waqar 48 and Jamshad 16 not out were the other main scorers. Yousuf took one wicket. Mudassir of PISR Nasseriyah was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
In the second match, PIS Sulaimaniya (U-16) won by 40 runs against IIPS (U-16). Batting first, PIS Sulaimaniya scored 184-2 in 20 overs.
Asad Khan made 75 not out, Talha Asad 52 and Athar Shah 21. Roshan and Ashar took one wicket each.
In reply, IIPS was bowled out for 144. Nafay hit 25, Ashar 15 and Bilal 11. Fouzan claimed 3 wickets, Athar Shah, Ibrahim and Ibrahim Rabbani took 2,while Yasir got one. Asad Khan of PIS Sulaimaniyah was named the Man-of-the-Match.
In the third match, PISR Nasseriya (U-19) defeated PIS Sulaimaniya by 64 runs. Batting first, PISR Nasseriya put up a massive total of 210-7 through Mohammed 67, Farhan 29 and Yasir 25. Kaleem took 3 wickets and Bilal 2, while Danial got 1.
In reply, PIS Sulaimaniya managed 122. Kaleem made 27, Usama 24 and Ammar 11. Akif took 4 wickets, Mohammed 2, while Yasir, Ahsan, Anees and Abdulrahman claimed one each. Mohammed of PISR Nasseriyadh was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
