JEDDAH – Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors introduced the first of its kind brand certified pre-owned (CPO) program for Hyundai in the Middle East.
The Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles Showroom in Jeddah located on Madina Road will showcase pre-owned vehicles from Hyundai premium brands.
During the inauguration which was attended by officials of Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors and Hyundai Middle East.
Hazim Jamjom, Vice Chairman of Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors, told guests that Mohammed Yousef Naghi Motors chose to broaden its offering to customers by opening a dedicated CPO showroom for Hyundai's premium brands and has invested heavily in its first showroom for Hyundai's premium brands in order to reach out to those customers with the highest demand for such used cars.
Meanwhile, Tom Lee, Middle East Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motors praised the contribution of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors to Hyundai's phenomenal growth.
Addressing the guests, he said “we have enjoyed a strong, positive relationship with Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, which has played a key role in Hyundai's success story in Saudi Arabia. Their ongoing commitment and dedication to Hyundai and its customers will be integral to the brand's plans for this important market in the coming years.” He noted that Hyundai is taking a step to a new era by opening the first Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles showroom in Jeddah as the first and other showrooms will come gradually, adding that “a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai is so much more than a ‘used' car. It is a pre-owned vehicle built by a company famous for its engineering triumphs, and its commitment to quality, reliability and safety.”
He further said that Hyundai does not intend to put its certified pre-owned cars through a tougher test, since every car has to face a rigid examination in order to qualify as certified pre-owned.
Lee pointed out that Hyundai has basic set of rules for the minimum qualifications of pre-owned certification status. “The basic rules for us include age limits, and mileage limits. Each vehicle must also pass a comprehensive vehicle inspection,” he said.
Speaking to Saudi Gazette, he said that the sales of Hyundai cars in the Middle East has increased 8 percent last year and sold around 360,000 vehicles for the first time.
He announced that more such showrooms will be opened in other major cities in Saudi Arabia. “We are ranked number two after Toyota in Saudi Arabia in selling new cars and with this showroom we add more value to our sales,” he said.
The second Hyundai certified pre-owned vehicles showroom will be opened within the next two months in the UAE, he disclosed.
To meet the tough competition with other manufacturers, Lee said reaching the satisfaction of our customers is our main goal to be on the top. “We will continue to be committed to satisfy all customer groups, including used car buyers,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Yousef Naghi, Chairman of MYN Motors, said that they are introducing this program to match the demand for quality-driven pre-owned affordable cars and looking forward to add more value for Hyundai's customers.
