Mehran, Samarwa, RSC champs

JEDDAH – Mehran, Cricket Samarwa and Riyadh Sports Club (RSC) emerged champions in their respective sections of the Power Zone T-20 Cricket Tournament organized by Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) recently.
In the finals, Mehran defeated MetrofileSixers for Super League title, Cricket Samarwa won over Saudi Jaguar for Premier League-I honors and Riyadh Sports Club beat Gujranwala CC for Premier League-II crown.
Raja Ejaz, Usman Khan and Mansoor put up fine all-round performances while Mujahid, Kamran and Usman batted well.

On RCL-3 ground, Mehran CC beat MetrofileSixers CC by 69 runs. After winning the toss Mehran elected to bat and set a target of 183 runs. After the dismissal of Mehran's four early wickets Raja Ejaz played a sensible innings of 70 with 10 boundaries. He was supported by Assad Butt (30) while Usman Khan made 19, Assad Khan 13 and Ibrahim 12. Abbas of Metro took 4 wickets whereas Imran Khan and Khawar took two wickets each.
In reply, Metrofile was bowled out for 113. Usman Khan took four wickets to wreck the Metro's batting. Assad Khan took two while Raja, Shehzad, Ibrahim and Fakir claimed one wicket each.
Raja Ejaz of Mehran was the Man of the Match.
On RCL-4 ground, Cricket Samarwa won over Saudi Jaguar CC by 29 runs. Saudi Jaguar put Samarwa in to bat and grabbed some early wickets. Later Mujahid's sensible knock of 47 not out managed a reasonable total of 188.
Ameen scored 31, Kashif 30, Aasif Sheikh 22 and Qasim 17. Owais of Jaguar took two wickets while Danish, Mutakbir, Waleed and Mohammed claimed one each.
In reply, Saudi Jaguar lost the match by 29 runs. Kamra Rao played an excellent innings of 75. Kashif and Qasim of took two wickets each while Naeem and Amir got one each.
Mujahid of Cricket Samarwa was the Man of the Match.
On RCL-2 ground, Riyadh Sports Club defeated Gujranwala CC by 6 wickets.
Batting first Gujranwala made 141. Usman Ashraf top scored with 60 while Dastageer made 26. Gujranwala tale-enders could not tackle the devastating bowling of Mansoor and were bowled out in 18 overs. Mansoor took four wickets while Asif and Younis grabbed two each.
In reply, Riyadh Sports Club achieved the target in 15.3 overs. Mansoor made 39 and Shahnwaz 32. Qasim made 10. Ashraf of Gujranwala took two wickets while Altaf and Usman claimed one each.
Mansoorof Riyadh Sports Club was the Man of the Match.
